Base Pay Scale

Crete Carrier offers one of the most comprehensive pay packages in the truckload industry. All of Crete’s pay programs are based on the more accurate Practical Route miles instead of traditional short route miles. Drivers with one or two years verifiable OTR experience start at 41¢ per mile. With up to five (5) or more years of recent verifiable experience you can start at 44¢ per mile. Our drivers are eligible for a 1¢ per mile annual pay increase up to the maximum base pay of 47¢ per mile in the National Fleet – That’s the equivalent of 49¢ per mile other companies would have to pay if they are paying on short route miles. You can add an average of another 1.5¢ to 2.3¢ per mile to your mileage pay for stop and drop etc. pay to get the true annual mileage rate of pay which is reflected in your paycheck.

Crete Regional Divisions operate on a slightly different pay scale with most Regionals having a top mileage pay of 45¢. Driver Development programs are available for drivers with less than one year experience. Dedicated fleet opportunities are available at various locations around the country. Ask your recruiter for details. Transflo Express truckstop imaging is provided at no expense to facilitate immediate payroll and trip processing. The average annual earnings for Crete Carrier drivers for 2010 was between $52,000 and $62,000 depending on the division they drove.

Pay For Experience

If you have one or more years of quality tractor trailer experience which we are able to verify, you may qualify to start in our National Fleet at our experienced driver pay rate:

• 1 year start at 41¢ per practical mile
• 2 years start at 41¢ per practical mile
• 3 years start at 42¢ per practical mile
• 4 years start at 43¢ per practical mile
• 5 years start at 44¢ per practical mile

Verifiable work history of five or less jobs within the last five years will determine pay for experience.
